Dean Quick, MT-BC, FAMI is a board-certified music therapist, Fellow of the Association for Music & Imagery, clinical supervisor, internship director, and program developer based in the Charlotte and Lake Norman area.

Clinical Leadership & Program Development

Dean’s professional work includes leadership in oncology music therapy service development, internship and workforce development, interdisciplinary provider education, telehealth implementation, referral pathway development, and clinical supervision.

At Levine Cancer Institute, Dean serves as Music Therapist and Music Therapy Internship Director, providing music therapy and The Bonny Method of Guided Imagery & Music across inpatient and outpatient oncology settings. His work supports patients through treatment, survivorship, grief, anxiety, symptom burden, procedural distress, and meaning-centered care.

He also developed and directs a university-affiliated music therapy internship program, supporting intern recruitment, onboarding, supervision, competency development, documentation expectations, evaluation, and coordination with academic partners.

This leadership background informs the work of Sound Space Collective, where clinical care, supervision, consultation, and education are grounded in real-world experience across healthcare, behavioral health, oncology, and private practice.

As a Fellow of the Association for Music & Imagery, Dean has advanced training in The Bonny Method of Guided Imagery & Music, a music-centered depth psychotherapy approach that uses carefully selected music, imagery, and therapeutic dialogue to support emotional processing, symbolic exploration, and integration.

Through Sound Space Collective, Dean offers clinical services, supervision, consultation, retreats, and education for individuals and professionals interested in music therapy, Guided Imagery & Music, altered states of consciousness, integrative care, and music-centered psychotherapy.
