Supervision
Virtual 60-minute individual session, frequency is individualized but typically once per month.
Supportive, depth-oriented supervision for music therapists (MT-BCs), GIM trainees, counselors, and other helping professionals who want a steady place to think, feel, and refine their work.
These sessions center reflective process, clinical presence, and real-world application. We will start by clarifying what you need right now (case consultation, role support, skill-building, creative process, ethics, burnout prevention, practice growth) and shape the supervision rhythm around that. Some sessions are practical and tactical. Others are slower and more contemplative. Most are both.
What we can focus on
Reflective supervision: noticing countertransference, resonance, values, and patterns that show up in your work
Clinical presence: pacing, attunement, boundaries, nervous system regulation, and moment-to-moment decision making
Case consultation: stuck points, treatment planning, documentation language, ethical dilemmas, risk questions, and rupture/repair
Music and imagery processes: supporting altered states, meaning-making, symbol work, and integration (when clinically appropriate)
Creativity in clinical care: music, improvisation, songwriting, guided imagery, mindfulness, and contemplative practices without getting “too conceptual”
Provider sustainability: compassion fatigue, grief load, moral distress, and how to stay in the work without losing yourself
Private practice support: positioning, pricing, offerings, referral pathways, and building a sustainable clinical business
Experiential learning option
When it supports your learning goals, I incorporate experiential elements from the Bonny Method of Guided Imagery and Music (BMGIM) and music therapy into supervision. This can be a powerful way to deepen clinical insight, work through countertransference, and strengthen your capacity for presence and discernment in the room.
Experiential supervision may include:
Brief guided listening or focused music and imagery experiences
Short music-centered processes (improvisation, vocal work, songwriting, or receptive listening)
Somatic tracking and reflection before, during, and after the experience
Integration that translates directly into clinical choices, language, and boundaries with patients
These experiences are always collaborative and consent-based. We decide together when and why to use them, and they are matched to your scope of practice, training level, and clinical context. The goal is simple: not just to talk about the work, but to feel the work from the inside, so you can return to your patients with more clarity, steadiness, and skill.
Ideal for
MT-BCs seeking ongoing professional supervision (new grads through seasoned clinicians)
GIM trainees (please check with your primary trainer regarding appropriate placement and training requirements)
Therapists and healers integrating creativity or meditation into their work and wanting grounded clinical support
Clinicians exploring transpersonal, spiritual, or depth-oriented approaches and looking for a steady, ethical container
